BEYOND THE TIME / YEDIKUKLE

Beyond the Time Yedikule is an urban resilience project that focuses on anticipating climate change–related risks and strengthening the city through predictive, future-oriented design. By using data-driven analysis and AI-supported scenario simulations, the project addresses both direct climate impacts and indirect threats such as ecosystem disruption and public health risks.

Through multi-period scenarios, ecological and technological solutions are integrated into Yedikule’s urban fabric to enhance climate comfort, protect cultural heritage, and support everyday life. The project proposes a multi-layered resilience strategy that prepares the city for future uncertainties while improving its performance today.

The upper cover system functions as a climate-responsive layer that regulates microclimate conditions, provides shade, and supports ecological processes. By integrating green and adaptive surfaces, it enhances thermal comfort, reduces heat stress, and contributes to urban resilience within Yedikule’s historical context.
